OBG BRAIN TRUST
Wes – OBG Mastermind
Wes hails from an insignificant burg, west of a bad town, known locally only for its 9 mile stretch of “motels.” Impressive, considering that the rumors about Wes being the inspiration for the recent Dos Equis commercials may be true.
A worldwide media maven, Wes is ubiquitous. Do you remember, through the fog of time and substances, the great band that played at your college? Wes. Your favorite animatronic character at the theme park or mall? Wes. That jingle you can’t get out of your head? Wes. The all important but never “heard” incidental music in TV and movies? Uh, yeah.
A savvy businessman, Wes owns a 50% share of Max, the grouchy intern. Yeah, he’s THAT dad at the high school football game.
Rosé for breakfast in Nice, correcting the time table of trains in Zurich for lunch, dinner in the Village and back to kicking kids off of his “lawn” at dawn – Wes gets it done.
jk – Internet star, VP of OBG Swag Division, stickball Hall of Famer (non-New York category)
Coming of age smack-dab in the eye of the storm known as the counter-culture, hippy, psychedelic, swinging 60’s, jk bought the whole package – hook line and sinker. Make love – not war, or Mike Love – not war. Mike Love.
Music will save the world!
Well, we all know how that turned out.
Beatle music is used to sell running shoes made by children and worthless junk made in China. Right on target, Music. David Crosby died 5 times and lives to tell about it – if you’ve got the 150 bucks to see his shows. You go, old bald guy.
jk miraculously reappears during the digital revolution in a Max Headroom, Rip Van Winkle, or reverse “Life on Mars” style. Knowledge is power. And YouTube has treasures beyond compare.
jk can be seen at gastronomic centers around the country searching for the good life as a part of his lifestyle agenda “snob on a budget™.”
Peter – Producer, director, hector, heckler, token haired- person
Peter is OBG’s direct link to the golden age of television. constantly regaling us with stories of those days of old.
First day on the set: Peter – “What the hell are those things?”
“Ah, microphones, Peter.”
“Hell, in my day we spoke into two bare wires. Worked pretty dern good for us, dag nabit!”
Peter is a man for all ages, and a true Renaissance Man. He’s been a weapons designer, a TV weatherman, a prodigy ventriloquist with his own Saturday Morning kid’s show, and an advertising maven.
Max – Grouchy Intern
Invented the “shakey-cam” shot when the camera fell out of his hands during one of his frequent naps during the recording of one the OBG podcasts.
